i'm in love

This past few days I have read a lot, drunk some tea and eaten tiny bisqutis with a dear friend og mine, done a lot of homework. It has been a long and hard week, but nevertheless a good one. Soon it's friday and finally weekend. This weekend a friend of mine is having a birthday party with the theme: Language. Everybody is going to bring a poem and I believe it will be an unforgettable evening. I try to figure out what poem to bring, I think I will choose an english one. Do you know any good ones?

I have always said I never will start smoking. But, this picture really makes it hard not to do it. Look at the atmosphere and intelecutal feeling in this photo. It surely is wonderful. I'm in love!

Isn't this set just lovely? If this actually was my wardrobe I would be the happiest girl in the world. I like the hat in particular. It's very ladylike, but I love it anyhow. The jacket is also a favorite, and the dresses, and the skirts. I like it all. So this is the styles/clothes I will be searching for in the stores. Maybe I'll buy some of them at the web...

OMG - how did you know? That set of clothes almost completely sums up my style or what I wish was my style. Pretty, flowy, lovely - thank you!

I agree about the smoking thing...so bad but can look sooo good. Too bad the same doesn't translate when you smoke pot though haha

Your polyvore outfit is amazing, as always!
It sounds like a lovely party your friend is throwing.
lately we have been discussing a couple of peomps in English class and wone of them I loved.
I wandered lonely as a cloud by William Wordsworth.
Let me know what you think of the poem,xx

Love the tea pictures. And the white dress with the layers of ruffle...harks back to a Victorian Christening gonw or child's nightgown. I can see Wendy gazing out the window in Peter Pan wearing something like that. Enchanting.

(We are not in China, but all those photos are from a three-week trip we took last summer)

That sounds like such a fun theme for a party! Will you share the poem you selected to bring? If you're still searching for one look at those by either Robert Burns or Robert Frost. They are some of my favorites :)

I love everything in your polyvore set. I wish it was my wardrobe too :)

That polyvore is excellent. I especially love the bag and the teapot(although I detest tea). I think the drinking vessels would be a little uncomfortable to wear though.
Thank you fro your lovely comment, most people just laugh at my photographs.

What a brilliant theme for a party. For poetry, you might want to look into Anne Sexton, EE Cummings or Robert Frost. Argh, yes, I've always promised myself not to start smoking, but pictures like that make it seem exquisite and elegant. I love tweaking around with Polyvore and making sets.

your life at the moment sounds just perfection, reading, tea, little biscuits... and then you said homework and you lost me haha. at least it's the weekend now, and your friend's birthday part, which sounds just lovely. in terms of poetry, i'm slightly biased but i think anything by A.E Housman is just stunning. I did some poetry posts on stuff by him recently, like 'To a Young Athlete dying', 'With Rue My Heart Is Laden' and 'Loveliest of Trees the Cherry Now'

and if you like poetry that is just simple and beautiful you can't go past Emily Dickinson ('Heart! We Will Forget Him!' or 'Hope is The Thing With Feathers') Or W.B Yeats, and i can't think of one off the top of my head, but there are many great ones..

oh no, i just thought of one, 'to a child dancing in the wind', or 'for anne gregory' which is about a girl with golden hair... :)

That set is really lovely! I adore all the feminine details.
Also, that birthday party theme is so awesome! Your friend sounds really cool. As for poems, I love Emily Dickinson and Whitman. :)

What a lovely, lovely set!

I wish I liked tea more. Hot tea, that is. In the Southern United States cold tea is a big thing, and I just cannot seem to make myself like hot tea, because of it...

I love both of the pictures. Tea is just so photogenic. I would love a ladylike wardrobe.

Wow, sounds like a wonderful evening! I must try one similar for myself and my friends! (although sadly they are not into literature like me).

Oooh how exciting to choose a poem to take! You could go with something wonderfullu classic like a sonnet of Shakespeare, or theres a poet Carol Ann Duffy who has written a wonderful collection called "Rapture". The poem Rapture is insanely beautiful. I can email it to you if you'd like? Let me know :)
